Customizing your widget

The Widget Studio in your dashboard organizes customization across 5 dedicated tabs: Theme & Audio, Content & Nudges, Behavior & Guardrails, Lead Capture, and Security & Placement. Everything you edit is saved as a live draft with interactive preview—visitors keep seeing the current live version until you click “Publish changes.”

Select Light, Dark, or System mode, pick your brand accent color, and configure the launcher appearance (circular icon button or expanded pill with custom prompt text).

Enable browser-native voice transcription so visitors can speak their questions, and toggle Text-to-Speech playback and subtle audio chimes for incoming messages.

Set custom welcome headlines and introductory greetings. Add up to 6 one-click starter questions to guide visitors to high-value topics.

Configure Proactive Nudges: trigger an eye-catching popup bubble after a specific delay (e.g. 5 seconds), upon scrolling 50% of the page, or only on high-intent URL paths like `/pricing` or `/checkout`.

Select your assistant persona tone (Friendly, Professional, Concise, Technical, Empathetic). Define custom role instructions and strict negative guardrails (e.g. “Never discuss competitor pricing”).

Add Hand-written FAQ overrides that bypass search and guarantee exact word-for-word responses for mission-critical inquiries.

Turn conversations into qualified leads by collecting visitor Name, Email, Phone, and Company. Choose trigger timing: mandatory before chatting, prompt after first answer, or ask on detected commercial intent.

Captured leads sync to your dashboard and trigger `lead.captured` webhooks into your CRM automatically.

Restrict widget execution to specific allowed domains and subdomains. Define URL path rules to whitelist or blacklist the widget on specific sections of your site (e.g. show on `/help/*` but hide on `/admin/*`).

Pro and Enterprise accounts can toggle the “Powered by SiteMind” footer badge off for a 100% white-labeled experience.
